Got caught by surprise earlier after walking into the living room and finding the tree up! My mother has always stuck by the rule of putting up the Christmas tree 12 days before Christmas, I didn’t realise how soon it actually is until the fat man comes!

I just wanted to share a little something with you all, because it makes me laugh every single year. We always have a “special” angel at the top of our tree for Christmas, the angel has been with us for a very long time. My older sister made it when she was just a nipper, she was in nursery when she made it which means I will have been a new-born or maybe not even here yet! That means it’s at least 20 years old. I’ll let you be the judge of it…

There it is. What do you think? Since I can ever remember, this has been the only thing to go on the top of our tree every single year.
